We’re back in a routine. The too-busy, too-stressed, only time to text routine of the fall. It’s fast, it’s furious, and it’s exhausting.
And of course, self-care becomes one more thing to add to the to-do list. So what do you do when there’s no time to do anything?
Sit down, look away from your to-do list and begin a gratitude list. Whether it was the extra-detailed leaf made by your latte guy in the AM or the sweet email your child’s teacher sent when they saw that your child was having a hard time, there’s always something to be thankful for. And the more you recognize those people who have helped you out and lifted you up during the day, the more space you’ll feel.
Every morning, begin a gratitude list. Keep it on your phone and add to it during the day and review it when you have a moment. Because we’re all connected.
Say thanks! Lifetherapy makes a great gift for anyone who’s lifted you up. Who says you have to wait until the holidays to share your gratitude.
