When we try something new we dabble into the unfamiliar. We get to dip our toe in the pool. Perhaps we feel awkward, a bit precarious? That is precisely what is supposed to happen. As in most things, “Expert Status “is reserved until we have practiced something over and over again. Sure, once in a while you can knock one out of the park, but most of the time we find ourselves out manoeuvred, out manned, and out gunned when trying something new as an adult.

Those are the very reasons to try something new! It brings us back to being a kid again. It brings us back to a space where we feel nervous, excited, and unsure. It awakens our competitive spirit. That beautiful, passionate spirit that often lags when we feel we have reached a certain level of personal success.  This inner challenge connects us to the core awareness that there is so much more available to us, the potential to further enrich our lives.

The power of trying something new doesn’t just open doors and gives us new skill sets, it energizes us, boosts our mood, and puts us back in touch with the wonder we felt as a child. Now that’s choosing your mood!

“Choose Your Mood”, is the philosophy behind Lynette Lovelace’s new lifestyle brand, Lifetherapy.   Lovelace created a line of luxury apothecary products inspired by the therapeutic powers of fragrance and mood.  Lovelace states her intentions naming her fragrances: Play, Vacation, Escape, Chill, and Flirt.  Products range from everyday hand crèmes, to pulse point oil roll-on perfumes, ultra rich body crèmes, hydrating body lotions and skin nourishing body scrubs. She reminds us that “mood is a choice, your feelings are contagious, and there has never been another you.”
