How To Recycle Your Lifetherapy Candle Vessels

Candles have a way of adding warmth and ambiance to our homes, but what happens once they've burned down, leaving behind an empty vessel? Rather than tossing them out, why not give these vessels a new lease on life through recycling?Β

Here is our simple guide to transforming your used Lifetherapy candle vessels into something useful and eco-friendly.

There are different ways to clean your used candle vessel, this is the most effective way we have found that works.

1. Prepare your vessel: Make sure you place your candle vessel on a stable and heat-resistant surface. Remove any large chunks of wax if possible.

2. Boil water: Bring a pot of water to a rolling boil on the stove. Make sure there's enough water to fill the candle vessel.

3. Pour boiling water into the vessel: *VERY Carefully pour the boiling water into the empty candle vessel. Fill it to the top, ensuring that the water covers all areas where wax residue is present.

4. Wait for the wax to melt: Allow the boiling water to sit in the vessel for several minutes. The heat from the water will melt the wax, causing it to rise to the surface.

5. Remove the melted wax: Once the wax has melted, use a utensil such as a spoon or chopstick to gently scrape away the wax from the surface of the water. Be cautious not to spill the hot water.

6. Discard the water and remaining wax: Carefully pour the hot water and melted wax into a heat-resistant container for disposal. (We like to use Aluminum Foil to make a bowl-like mold) *Avoid pouring it down your sink to prevent clogging.

7. Clean and dry your vessel: Rinse the candle vessel with warm soapy water to remove any remaining wax residue and ensure it's thoroughly clean. You can use a sponge or cloth to scrub the inside of the vessel if necessary. Make sure your vessel is completely dried before reusing.

Some fun and useful ways to repurpose your vessel:

  • Storage container: Use the vessel to store small items like makeup brushes, cotton balls, pens, or office supplies. It adds organization to your space while adding a touch of elegance.
  • Plant pot: Fill the cleaned vessel with soil and plant a small succulent, herb, or flower. The vessel adds a decorative touch to your greenery.

These steps will help you toΒ effectively reuse your candle vessel in a variety of creative and practical ways while adding both style and functionality to your space.Β

Happy Recycling!
